The municipality of San Jeronimo, is located in the eastern part of the department of Baja Verapaz, in Region II and Northern Region. The Regional Museum of Trapiche, was inaugurated on 27 July of the year 1999, is located in what was the first Brown Sugar Mill in Central America in the United Spanish, which still retains part of the infrastructure of the industrial area dating back to the years of 1,560. In the museum you can see the Pelton wheel of 7 meters in diameter which is part of the machinery of English origin Trapiche about a ton of weight, Likewise you can see an archeological giving evidence of the beginning of the Maya script.
