Modern and Folkloric Ballet arrive to su 49 anniversary


With a dramatic entrance with background music and the singer Jacy Velazquez, Modern and Folkloric Ballet presented the first dance "Earth Futurando", directed by choreographer Renato Carrillo, with the positive message "how to live life and never lose hope that tomorrow will be better than today"Emphasized the Master Fernando Juarez, Director.

"Conversations" was the main theme carried by name Contemporary Dance Season, where six choreographies were present representing different themes and artistic techniques, including social issues, economic and religious, to the delight of the audience, Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 July, in the Great Hall "Efrain Recinos" National Theatre.

Contemporary Dance Season is an event that occurs every year, on the anniversary of the Ballet, that 01 October will be arriving at his 49 years and seasons celebrated tradition School, Dance, Folk, Children and Christmas.

The Ballet Folklorico de Guatemala Modern and concern arises for professional dancers, was founded at the request of the Directorate General of Culture and Fine Arts, by Government of 1 October 1964.

All his national and international experience has helped him to be recognized as an institution artistically high class and has participated in more than 50 folk dance festivals and contemporary, standing in a privileged place for its rich cultural.

The Ballet Folklorico Moderno and was declared a National Cultural Heritage, the 5 August 1993, by the Ministry of Culture and Sports.

The event ended with the merger of six teacher-directed choreography demonstrating their professional artistic technique and the different concepts, “dance through changed attitudes " and putting up the flag of Guatemala.
