Latin Band "Pedro Molina" attend the Rose Parade 2016


The first day of the year 2016 It opens with the Guatemalan culture spread worldwide. The reason for this projection is the presence of Pedro Molina Latin band Coatepeque, Quetzaltenango, in the Rose Parade each 1 January is celebrated in the city of Pasadena, California, U.S..

The Ministry of Culture and Sports, rector of cultural policies and sports held a press conference on Wednesday 10 March at the Banquet Hall of the National Palace, along with representatives of the band to announce this event. The Deputy Minister of Sport and Recreation, Francisco Ardón indicated that this group contributes to expand the Guatemalan culture in the world.

By the band attended Professor Patricia Hernandez Boiton, teachers Edwin Lopez and Jimmy Lopez and young musicians traveling to California for the event. In total will attend 300 Students who make up this group.

La Banda Pedro Molina has been selected for the second time to represent Guatemala in the Rose Parade. To be eligible for this honor you compete against applicants bands throughout Latin America. The band was selected for its high quality musical, visual show and projection of Guatemalan culture.

Some of the tracks that will be presented at international level are: The Scream, El Rey Quiché and Moon Xelajú, inter.
