Trained on legal aspects of property crimes

At the National Museum of Natural History took place on 20 and 21 November, Consultation Workshop on Training Needs Technical and Legal Aspects of Crimes Against the Cultural Patrimony of the Nation.

The workshop prosecutors and investigators from the Public Ministry, Directors and Heads of some departments in the Directorate General of Cultural and Natural Heritage participated.

The Head of Control and Prevention of Illicit Traffic of Cultural Property, Eduardo Hernandez was one of the facilitators of the workshop together with Eva Cisneros, official of the Public Prosecutor.

The workshop consisted of presentations, workshops and activities where laws exist to protect the cultural heritage of the nation were studied. Agreements signed between both institutions and agreements were also reviewed international.

The inaugural exhibition entitled "Origin and Spirit of the Law on the Protection of Cultural Heritage of the Nation" was given by the expert in the field of Cultural Heritage, Oscar Mora.

This workshop is part of the efforts made by the Ministry of Culture and Sport with the support of various entities, conservation and protection of our heritage as a nation.
