Celebrating the International Day of Sports for Peace

Walk Sport for Peace

Over a thousand people attended Sunday 6 April to peaceful walk in the International Sports Day for Peace, promoted by the institutions that make Conader, (Department of Physical Education, Autonomous Sports Confederation of Guatemala, Guatemalan Olympic Committee, Deputy Minister of Sport and Recreation and the Presidential Chief of Sport).

The march started in Plaza Obelisco and ended in New Square Spirit Award, located at the roundabout in front of the stadium Mateo Flores, between zones 4 and 5 capital, with the presence of athletes, Athletes, people with disabilities and people who came together for peace.

A walk Francisco attended Ardón, Deputy Minister of Sport, and collaborators who carried a white shirt with the slogan of the activity.

Remarks by Deputy Minister of Sport and Recreation

In his message, Vice Ardon said "We at the Deputy Minister of Sport and Recreation have been instructed by our authorities that we promote sport for peace, for inclusion, for harmony, for peaceful coexistence, where children, young, adults and seniors find motivation in sport and life purpose ".

At the end of the walk there were exhibitions of karate, gymnastics and artistic participation of Kim Lou and Andrea Alvarenga.
