Directors, comprising heads and representatives of the Directorate General Cultural and Natural Heritage, the National Institute of Anthropology and History (IDAEH) and the Vice Ministry of Cultural and Natural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, gathered to participate together with representatives of the National Coordinator for Disaster Reduction (CONRED) in a workshop to monitor the agreement MCD-CONRED, signed by both institutions.

The National Framework Protocol and Post Disaster Recovery is a plan which originates on the basis of the Central American Policy for Comprehensive Disaster Risk Management and the Hyogo Framework 2005-2015. With the creation of the national framework and Post Disaster Recovery protocol is to consolidate an action plan in which all branches of government act together to prevent and reduce as far as possible the human and material losses in the event of any disaster natural.

The technical and professional MCD, They are currently working on developing a plan of action for each of the institutions that the MCD is responsible and thus give rise to a general manual action disaster, through which casualties would be avoided and mainly protect and retain the cultural heritage present in the country.

The need for the establishment of a Risk Management Unit for the MCD was one of the main conclusions and recommendations which came to the meeting participants. The Risk Management Unit would be the entity responsible for coordinating any action with all the units within the MCD happen when a disaster.
