Culminates Festival del Centro Histórico 2012

The event ended with a marimba ensemble composed of the Guatemalan Institute of Tourism INGUAT, City of Guatemala, Women's Marimba Concerto, Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Marimba from the University of San Carlos of Guatemala-USAC-. Also played a dance group that studies upper house, who at the beat of the marimba made several representations which danced several pieces.

From early people wandered around the place appreciated the various art forms including the presentation of the National Folkloric Ballet and Modern of the Ministry of Culture and Sports. This participation enhanced the event gave, because despite inclement weather, the audience was there to revel in the artistic and cultural.

The Historic Center Festival took place from 9 to the 19 August of this year and included various activities such as conferences, exhibitions, lectures and artistic performances of all kinds that hint at the historical significance of the place.

Its main purpose was to promote the set of assets, architectural, historical and sociocultural this area, by developing various interagency activities coordinated manner with participation of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, INGUAT, City of Guatemala, USAC and the Cultural Center of Spain.
