On the Day of the Girl institutional commitment is reaffirmed

día de la niña_0970On Friday morning 10 October, various institutions participated in the commemoration of the International Day of the Girl, mandate issued by the United Nations. The Minister of Culture and Sports, Dwight Pezzarossi participant in this activity was held in the Court of Peace of the National Palace of Culture.

The activity also attended the Defence of Indigenous Women, chaired by Gloria Laynez. This institution ensures the protection of the most vulnerable sectors of society.

During the event, Pezzarossi Minister indicated that the institution he presides, takes initiatives that allow the inclusion of girls in different artistic expressions and recreational. He said the participation of women in society greatly contributes to social progress, and manage the destiny of a nation as it does today Madam Vice-President Roxana Baldetti.

The Girl Child Day was established by the General Assembly of the United Nations held 19 December 2011. That day the order was issued 66/170 designating the 11 October as a commemorative date to efforts to promote equal rights of girls.
