Signature of the Convention by the Vice authorities of Sport and Recreation and CONJUVE

The National Youth Council CONJUVE and the Ministry of Culture and Sports MCD via the Department of Sport and Recreation, unveiled this 8 May the signing of a cooperation agreement whose main purpose, the unification of efforts in developing programs aimed at youth in Guatemala.

The event was held at the National Palace of Culture in the presence of Mr. Francisco Ardón, Deputy Minister of Sport and Recreation and Mayra Alejandra Carrillo de León, Director General of CONJUVE, who stressed the importance of rescuing thousands of young people who neither study nor work.

"Breaking Networks, Juventópolis, Environment and National Youth Day ", are the four programs that will work with the Deputy Minister of Sport and Recreation, with which we have worked on other opportunities ", refers Carrillo.

For his part, Ardón Deputy Minister stressed the importance of sport to create good habits and good lessons for young people, I also made available to youth sports centers responsible.

Breaking Networks creates a living space that promotes the culture of peace, through sporting activities among fellow students and members of other educational establishments. Juventópoli generates and close ties of coexistence between the workers and youth of different government institutions, through participation in recreational activities.

Environment promotes respect for the environment and youth in, through reforestation, eradication of illegal dumping, Public beach cleaning and other activities aimed at the conservation of the country. And in the National and International Youth Day which falls on 12 August each year, CONJUVE in coordination with the Ministries of Education and Culture and Sports, They are responsible for the respective commemoration, released briefly director Carrillo.
