Piper Guatemalan Rumbo in Germany


Dulcida García, Bachelor of Arts and graduated Pied National Conservatory of Music "Germán Alcántara", recently gave a concert in the auditorium of this building, to say goodbye to family and friends, because these days you will leave scholarship to Germany, where he will continue specialized studies in flute, thanks to a grant obtained last year.

During the audition process for the scholarship, held in Panama City, Year 2013, participated 48 young prospects representatives of Central America, among those who chose two winners: Dulcida Garcia Edwin Rivera of Guatemala and Honduras.

The scholarship, which will last six months, was provided by the American Youth Orchestra -OJCA-, with support from the Taiwanese, Geothe Institute and the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Guatemala. He taught at the University of Munich, Germany.

The way back to Guatemala, I want to share the acquired knowledge with my peers and colleagues and create opportunities for us musicians can practice our profession with dignity, said the fellow, Dulcida García.

The Ministry of Culture and Sports wishes you every success in this new phase of training, waiting for your talent and dedication, put up the name of Guatemala.
