Award “Efrain Recinos” prominent characters

As part of the celebrations for the 35 anniversary of the "Centro Cultural Miguel Angel Asturias", was performed 16 July, the 8th. award ceremony "Efrain Recinos" prominent characters, among which an artist account national, international journalist based in Guatemala, social media 10 years of experience and two employees of the cultural center.

AWARD "EPHRAIM RECINOS" A FEATURED CHARACTERS

The award for outstanding artist Roberto Estrada fell Lainfiesta, Guatemalan composer and pianist, who has worked for many years in the art. The journalist is the Argentinian Ricardo García Santander, General Producer Guatevisión, which has about 10 years living in Guatemala and promoting the country on television.

Guatevisión channel was distinguished for their constant support to disseminate art and culture. They were also recognized Antonio Caceres and Juan de Jesus Diaz, both with a history of many years working for the Cultural Center, in the maintenance area.

The Ministry of Culture and Sports, instituted in the year 2007 the award "Efrain Recinos", as a permanent tribute to the artist and creator remembered "Centro Cultural Miguel Angel Asturias". It is an honor given annually in June, to commemorate the anniversary of this majestic cultural center.

It is a public recognition of the work of artists, workers, people and institutions that have contributed significantly to the preservation, progress and cultural center operation, establishes the Ministerial Agreement Number 395 -2007.

The activity was attended by the deputy minister of culture, Leandro Yax, authorities Cultural Center, relatives and friends of the honorees and special guests. Coincidently, Deputy Minister announced that the 16 June in the Mayan calendar is Noj, an auspicious day to recognize characters of art and culture.
