Sign vacation course at the National Library


“Starting with reading”

With an average of forty children enrolled 6 a 14 years old, It started on Monday 11 November during holidays 2013 organized by The National "Luis Cardoza y Aragón" Library, located in the Historic Center, which will end next 6 December.

According to Victor Paz, course coordinator, This year the activities are for the most recreational, with which it aims to encourage a love of books in children. Among the planned actions are making kites, crafts with recycled materials, visits to museums, reading stories and many more.

Ilonka Matute, Director of the National Library, inaugurated the activity and took the opportunity to encourage the children present to appreciate the great value with books. The director told participants and parents who expected that participants not only attend a small vacation courses, but also continue to visit the library and reading when they grow.

The opening ceremony was also present Guillermo Diaz Romeu, Technical Director of Documentary and Bibliographic Heritage, who was pleased to see the children present and ready for the holiday course.

Anabella Muñoz, mother of two children involved, said that this course is very helpful for children, since it is focused directly to them. Besides being free, as they only have to carry the materials used during the course and better spend their time, instead of passing on the street or watching TV all day, added.
