Youth Cultural Center walking Pyramid Centre

Youth Project Pyramid Recreation Centres (CRP) Villa Nueva and Villa Canales served by the Ministry of Culture and Sports had the opportunity to attend the Cultural Center "Miguel Angel Asturias" to learn more about this monument to the Guatemalan culture. The conference held on 18 March began a guided visit to the Museum of the Army of Guatemala, located on the north side of the Cultural Center.

Later they entered the Great Hall of the National Theatre where they had the opportunity to see the staging of the play Carazamba, performed by the Modern Ballet Folklorico and Guatemala, under the direction of maestro Luis Fernando Juárez, Ileana choreographic creation of Flowers and the musical direction of René Argueta.

At the end of the play toured the National School of Arts where they had the opportunity to experience different areas and workshops used by students. There they witnessed an exhibition of art by students and teachers of the School

These activities are to promote culture in vulnerable sectors served by the Ministry of Culture and Sports. Young people attending live in areas at risk, and who need to know more about the national culture.
