Commonwealth Office and strengthen ties of cooperation


Last 30 April, Commonwealth Nororiente signed up to the Ministry of Culture and Sports and Cultural Entities Framework Convention, active chaired by the Vice Minister of Culture, Clariza Castellanos and held at the Cultural Center Recreation and Sports Development in San Jacinto, Chiquimula.

Incorporating this agreement will allow the said Commonwealth, maintain a close friendship and support to the Ministry, to give life to the Project “Prevention of violence and strengthening citizenship, art, Culture and sport”, which will be held in this town of Chiquimula.

This project also includes the creation of opportunities for safe and healthy use of free time, through artistic activities, sporting and civic education. Finally, seeks to empower the community in the prevention of violence, strengthening family and social ties.

The agreement was signed by Julio César Giron Portillo, president and legal representative of the Commonwealth, Leonidas Morales, mayor and Clariza Castellanos, Deputy Minister of Culture.

It is extremely important to promote peace, through the strengthening of local art and culture. By signing this agreement we are contributing to that goal, Castellanos said the Deputy Minister.

The Commonwealth also has the support of the Municipality of San Jacinto, Chiquimula and has the physical space and adequate infrastructure for the development of art teaching, sporting and civic. Similarly, has the support of international organizations that have provided musical instruments for children, girls and young, so that through art have better development and life.
