Children participated in Tz'utujil Singing Contest and Poetry

An average of 15 participants between groups and soloists gathered at the municipal gymnasium of San Juan la Laguna to join the Singing Contest and Poetry in language Tz'utujil organized by the Directorate General of Cultural Development and Strengthening of Cultures occurred.

Among the awards highlights the professional recording for each 3 first places in song, in charge of Fernando Scheel, producer, Guatemalan singer and songwriter, an extensive career.

The participants represented public and private educational institutions of San Juan and San Pedro. It was attended by a group of San Pablo Infant marimba, Hall circunvecino, directed by Maestro David Cholotío, teacher in the Art School of San Juan.

The activity was attended by Clariza Castellanos, Deputy Minister of Culture, which is supporting the promotion of culture and Mayan art inside the country. Also representatives of the Ministry of Education and the municipality, inter alia.
