Ojca revolves church closes San Francisco El Grande

La Antigua Guatemala experienced a cultural moment high-level artistic presentation of the Central American and Caribbean Youth Orchestra (FATHER), last held in national soil this year. The concert was held on Friday 24 October within the religious compound of San Francisco El Grande. Although free entrance, attendees collaborated with donations that will be aimed at Hermano Pedro Social Works.

Initially a brief protocol was performed by the Deputy Minister of Culture, Clariza Castellanos, Ambassador of the Republic of Germany in Guatemala, Mathias Sonn, Council director Ojca, Alexis Fields and President of Social Works of Brother Pedro, Fray Giusseppe.

The program, like the concert on Thursday 22 performed at the Cultural Center “Miguel Angel Asturias”, piece was composed by Ludwig van Beethoven, Paco Perez, Arturo Marquez and Jorge Sarmiento. The concerts were made possible by the work of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, the German Embassy in Guatemala, el Instituto Goethe y el Instituto Von Humboldt.

The orchestra was composed of 160 young musicians from Central and Germany. Next year, Ojca will host Honduras and the 2016 in Mexico.
