Rules of conduct for all visitors to archaeological sites and national parks under the administration of the Ministry of Culture and Sports

REGLAMENTO DE CONDUCTA PARA VISITANTES
Ministerial Agreement No. 1171-2012

1. The Archaeological Sites and National Parks of the Republic of Guatemala, constitute the National Cultural Heritage and are under the management and conservation of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, through the Directorate General of Cultural and Natural Heritage.

2. All visitors, be responsible for their conduct and the same attempts against Cultural Heritage of the Nation, sanctions will apply under the Law for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of the Nation, Decree 26-97 the Congress of the Republic of Guatemala, and other applicable laws.

3. This regulation applies and generally observed for all visitors to the Archaeological Sites and National Parks; Heritage Caves, Coats Rocky and Paleontological Areas, that are under the management and supervision of the Ministry of Culture and Sports.

4. All visitors must generally agreed times in the law, income schedule is 8:00 a 16:00 hours. (For other times it must have the permission of the Directorate General of Cultural and Natural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture and Sports.

5. All visitors must pay the fee authorized, which will be covered by the respective ticket.

6. All statistical control and security. For each visitor must be recorded in the guestbook.

Measures Cleaning and Conservation of Archaeological Sites and National Parks for All Visitors

1. In throwing trash in places authorized in.

8. It prohibits any conduct contrary to morality and decency. Persons who shall cause public disorder and immoral behavior within the archaeological sites and National Parks will be removed immediately, without prejudice to the penalties prescribed by law.
9. It prohibits the entry of alcohol and drugs, well as the income of people who are under the influence of the same.
10. It is forbidden to give gifts (Gift, gifts) the rangers and anyone who works in Archaeological Sites and National Parks.
11. Smoking is prohibited within the area of ​​Archaeological Sites and National Parks.
12. It is prohibited to entry and use of firearms within the premises of Archaeological Sites and National Parks.

14. The placing of any commercial or political advertising within the premises of Archaeological Sites and National Parks.
15. It prohibits the entry of any sound amplification equipment, except with the authorization of the General Directorate of Cultural and Natural Heritage.
16. It prohibits the entry of pets.
17. Is forbidden to make films, except with the authorization of the General Directorate of Cultural and Natural Heritage.
18. It is forbidden to take photographs or make films of ancestral ceremonies, unless authorized by the spiritual guide who performed the ceremony.
19. The crafts and food sales may be made only in areas designated by the managing, with prior approval of the Directorate General of Cultural and Natural Heritage.
20. It prohibits the burning of fireworks.
21. In fortuitous finding constitutes a finding that the National Cultural Heritage, must inform the management of archaeological sites and National Parks.
22. Prohibited the presence of visitors in Archaeological Sites and National Parks, after hours, except you have obtained authorization from the Directorate General of Cultural and Natural Heritage.
23. The Archaeological Sites and National Parks, that have a different authoritative time schedule this Ministerial Agreement, continue to apply the same.

Mayan Ceremonies

In accordance with the provisions of Ministerial Agreement Number 981-2011, Date 23 September 2011, Spiritual Guides or Ajq'ijab, individually or together with a group of people of Maya descent to practice their spirituality, shall comply with the following:
1. Ancestral ceremonies, shall take place only in areas designated for that purpose.
2. All Spiritual Guide must present valid passport proving it as such to enter, and a list of his companions, for security purposes and statistical control.
3. All fires lit for effect, should be switched off completely at the end of the activity.
4. Made an ancient ceremony, attendees must leave the place clean, waste collecting natural and artificial, excluding ash and deposit in approved.
5. If hours worked must be counted with the express permission of the Directorate General of Cultural and Natural Heritage, and advance notice to the manager of the site or archaeological park.
6. If the sacred places, are located on private property, spiritual guidance is the responsibility of the owner to request authorization or administrator of the same.

Rules for camping on the Sites or Archaeological Park

Visitors to Archaeological Sites and National Parks, where there is a camping area enabled, shall observe and abide by the following provisions:
1. The visitor is authorized only to use the assigned area.
2. Campfires must be made in approved, ensuring that they are switched off after use.
3. No building structures of any type that affect soil and vegetation of Archaeological Sites and National Parks.

Rules for Underwater Archaeological Sites

1. Visit company sites a licensed guide.
2. Respect dive authorized times.
3. If fortuitous finds it a cultural, shall so inform the relevant authorities.
4. Cutting is prohibited, damaging the flora and fauna extract.
5. It is prohibited to remove sediment.
6. It is forbidden to touch, move away or archaeological artifacts.
7. All divers are required to maintain cleanliness in the submerged archaeological sites.

General Rules

1. Any visitor who has knowledge by any means of the involvement of Archaeological Sites and National Parks, has a duty to make it known to the competent authority.
2. All underwater archaeological research and archaeological sites within National Parks and Underwater, can only be made with the advice of the Institute of Anthropology and History and authorization from the Directorate General of Cultural and Natural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture and Sports.
3. In Archaeological Sites and National Parks and Underwater, under the administration of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, that have a management plan or master plan, should implement the conservation measures that are best for the protection of cultural property.
4. Across Site constituting Underwater Cultural Heritage of the Nation, from this date is crab fishing for lake within the area bounded by the Directorate General of Cultural and Natural Heritage.
5. The Ministry of Culture and Sports, to socialize and spread the content of this regulation in the sectors involved and interested, with special emphasis on, diving schools, fishermen, tourism operators, municipalities and local authorities jurisdictions and Archaeological Sites and underwater archaeological parks.
