Taiwan promotes scholarship plan to professionalize students

A group of 24 Guatemalan students with high academic bachelor study, postgraduates and doctorates at universities in the Republic of Taiwan, announced as the ambassador of Taiwan, Adolfo Sun, in a ceremony held in the courtyard of peace, National Palace of Culture.

The Ambassador said that the scholarship program has been operating since 2004 and selected come from the capital and the departments of Guatemala and consider careers in areas of tropical agriculture, Business Administration, Aquatic Sciences, mechanical engineering, engineering and industrial management and education and language Mandarin. The scholarships include airfare and payment of monthly tuition, tuition, books, use of university facilities, Study Materials, accommodation, feeding, Local transport and insurance.

The Ambassador added that the Embassy of the Republic of China is cooperating in this program with the Ministry of Planning and Programming of the Presidency SEGEPLAN. Therefore, people interested in participating can consult the requirements SEGEPLAN universities seeking, the details of each race and delivery deadlines records.

Ivan Espinoza, Deputy Foreign Minister of Guatemala, said that the flow of students has become more intense every year and thanks to Taiwan has provided more scholarships for students and, which are exclusively for studies in undergraduate and graduate college or university. Similarly, the applicant will be awarded a scholarship after a year to study Mandarin Chinese language.
