Deputy Minister attends needs schools

In a work trip, Clariza Castellanos, Deputy Minister of Culture, visited art institutions of the Ministry of Culture and Sports operating in the southwest of the country. The visit needs arose after representatives of the Ministry and beneficiaries seek care educational projects to address gaps and. The first visit was made recently to the Regional Conservatory of Music "Oxlajuj Kiej" Mazatenango, Suchitepéquez.

The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Minister and the mayor Castellanos Mazatenango, Roberto Lemus. He was accompanied by the Director of Artistic Training, Sonia Juarez Devaux and Academic Coordinator, Orlando Colomer. It was also attended by student representatives, committee members parents and teachers.

Among the shortcomings, beneficiaries requested the hiring of two music teachers to strengthen teaching areas. They also agreed to send a report general problems of this school.

Upon completion, authorities conducted a tour of the facilities of the Conservatory. In a classroom a batch of musical instruments that are unused proved for being incomplete, violins including found, trumpets and flutes. The officials agreed actions to rescue these instruments and provide the elements that are needed.

Visit if extiende the Retalhuleu

The authorities made a surprise visit to the facilities of the School of Art Retalhuleu to oversee its operation. Hours earlier met with the local authorities to agree future art projects. The first session was held with the mayor of the head, José Luis Galindo, who provided details on conducting joint activities.

For his part, the provincial governor Mynor Cordón shared strategies to support native artists of Retalhuleu and promote the riches of the department. It agreed to continue the agency working with both local and develop festivals to promote tourism, knowledge of cultural events and local art.

The authorities will continue with visits to art schools, conservatories and academies for gaps and solve them for the benefit of the formation of new artistic and cultural values.
