Pezzarossi Minister presides Act Changing the Peace Rosa conferred on IGN

The National Geographic Institute (IGN), represented by its owner Guillermo Santos, Honored with the Change of the Rose of Peace commemorating his fifty years of foundation. The event was chaired by the Minister of Culture and Sports, Dwight Pezzarossi and the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Food, Elmer Lopez.

The tribute was held at the Patio de la Paz of the National Palace of Culture, Wednesday 15 October in the presence of officials IGN, representatives of the diplomatic corps and Miss Rabin Ajaw 2014, Anita Perez Cholotío. The director of the Institute he was conferred the title of a Messenger of Peace, and he was given recognition accrediting him as such.

The event was an encomium to the National Geographic Institute, through the project coordinator of that institution, Roman Barrios. Speaking, Pezzarossi Minister indicated that the contribution of IGN can be framed on the need to modernize decision making to support the country's development, benefit of their land management.

The celebration of this event promotes the recognition that the Ministry of Culture and Sports makes governmental entities that contribute to peacebuilding in Guatemala.
