Authorities of the Ministry of Culture and Sports MCD recently held a talk at the Cultural Center of Spain, to present plans and future projects in research and documents that support the arts, to be collected and archived by the Research Center for Arts Documentation.

The roundtable discussion was moderated by Cecilia Dogerthy and performed under the International Dance Day, which will mark the 29 April in Antigua Guatemala, Quetzaltenango and Escuintla, artistic performances and national dance groups.

Participated in the activity, Sonia Juarez, Artistic Director of Training MCD; Sonia Marcos, Director of the National Ballet of Guatemala; Ivan Solis, Coordinator of Dance School of Dance at the University of San Carlos of Guatemala USAC; Silvia Rivera, Director of the School of Dance of the Municipality of Guatemala and Vanessa Rivera, representative art private training.

Guatemala is a multicultural country, with its own richness in the arts, therefore urge you to further deepen this topic, said Dr. Alfredo Tay Coyoy, Director General of the Arts.

For his part, Mario Caxaj, Manager Art Research, He said the discussion group aims to expose the trajectory of dance in Guatemala.
