Castellanos Vice Minister participates in the Third International Festival of Mayan Culture

The lawyer Clariza Castellanos, Deputy Minister of Culture, Ministry of Culture and Sports on behalf of the Government of Guatemala, attending the Third International Festival of Mayan Culture, which takes place in Merida, Yucatán, Mexico's 17 to the 26 October.

In the framework of the First Round Table Mayab with the theme "Architecture and society among the Maya", Castellanos Vice Minister participated in the delivery of awards to the researcher Galina Ershova, who received the medal “Yuri Knorosov” for its historical and epigraphic linguistic debate and the archaeologist contributions Yucatán Peter Schmidt, awarded the Medal of Cultural Diversity United Nations Educational and Cultural Organization (Unesco).
