Challenge Day 2014


The day Challenge 2014 citizens from around the world joined the 28 May to be part of the movement for 15 minutes for physical activity, participated in Guatemala 142 departmental and municipal capitals, making the invitation to 65 between government and private institutions, whose intention was to mobilize the largest percentage of the population in each location in relation to the official number of inhabitants in each municipality.

So the Department of Sport and Recreation through the Vice Ministry of Sport and Recreation, Ministry of Culture and Sports held a Press Conference Day Challenge 2014; and delivery of awards to departmental and municipal promoters to localities.

Formal ceremony to be held at the Reception Hall of the National Palace on Tuesday 28 February at 11:30 hours; In his speech Gerardo Aguirre Guatemalan Olympic Committee President highlighted the various ways to make physical activity, to create more links on Physical Culture as a different lifestyle.

Denis Alonzo, as president of the Autonomous Sports Conference of Guatemala indicated that each of the institutions in Challenge Day became Ambassadors of Physical Culture in Guatemala and welcomes the full support of the Deputy Minister of Sport and Recreation through the Program .

Ardon Francisco Quezada, Deputy Minister of Sport and Recreation stressed the importance of physical culture and recreation as an integral part of people, programs being Substantive Areas of Vice heart while it made the invitation to the media to disseminate this activity.

Finally the Licensed Amanda Leon, Director General of Substantive and Amparo Areas Bust; They gave the awards to the following cities: Huehuetenango, Retalhuleu, San Cristobal Verapaz, Santa Catarina Pinula, Chichicastenango, Pachalum, Panzos, Mazatenango, Barthélemy, Escuintla, Chinautla, San Marcos, Samaya, The Esperanza, Jalapa, San Miguel Uspantan, Jalpatagua, Masagua, Guatemala, San Miguel Chita; also institutions that collaborated to Challenge Day, these being: DIGEF, CDAG, Guatemala Olympic Committee, CONADER, Deputy Minister of Sport and Recreation, CONJUVE and National School of Physical Education.
