The cultural fusion of Jazzimba closes the June Festival

Freedom of jazz and the versatility of the marimba merge into the concept of group Jazzimba, that Sunday was responsible for providing a multicultural close to Festival June. The presentation traveled both within and outside Guatemala, through melodies, arrangements and guests, before an audience that appreciated the standing melodic delivery, in the Great Hall "Efrain Recinos", Cultural Center "Miguel Angel Asturias".

El Viceministro de Cultura Max Araujo, representing the Minister José Luis Chea Urruela, destacó la calidad de los espectáculos presentados en esta décimo segunda edición del festival con el que se conmemoraron los 38 years of complex. Uno de los momentos más ovacionados por la audiencia fue la presentación del Ensamble de Percusión Garífuna, led by maestro Luis Marcial, Livingston who leads the Garifuna Rhythm Orchestra of the Ministry of Culture and Sports.

The group is composed Jazzimba Fernando Vásquez, Director of the Marimba Concert of Fine Arts; trumpeter James Nitsch, Alejandro Alvarez bassist and percussionist Leonel Hernandez. The show was one of the more than 60 actividades apoyadas por el Ministerio de Cultura y Deportes para el enriquecimiento cultural de los guatemaltecos.
