Ministry takes part in celebration of Olympism

The Ministry of Culture and Sports, through the Deputy Minister of Sport and Recreation supported a number of activities in honor of the Day of Olympism, as part of its commitment to promote healthy activities for the whole family. The celebration was held at the Sports City of Guatemala City where they participated in recreational programs of the Ministry, such as recreational pampering, aerobics classes and entertainment for children.

This time the activities were conducted on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 June. The Minister Carlos Batzin is committed to supporting and promoting activities like this, contributing to the covenants of government. The activity was conducted by the National Commission for Sport and Recreation (CONADER), entity to which the Ministry of Culture and Sports owns.

In celebration leaned in performing the Olympic Day Run in its twentieth edition, which is replicated over 100 World countries that have representation in the Olympic cycles. The commemoration was instituted on the Olympic 23 June 1948 through the International Olympic Committee and aims to promote the sport, discipline regardless of the participant chooses.
